the thing about running

Whoever said we can't run away from a problem apparently lied. "Running is funny, When i start, i hate it. My legs are heavy, and when i breathe in, the air feels like it's caught. My nose runs, and sometimes get a weird stitch in my side. My shoes always feel either too loose or too tight. Then somewhere along the way everything falls into place. My feet find their rhythm, it gets easier to breathe, and it doesn't hurt, it just feels clear. My arms pump back and forth like they're pistons moving me forward. I can't think when i run, because my brain empties out. I must need the oxygen to keep running. It works like a charm." -what would emma do someone once told me they run when they are feeling down and will feel much better after that. i didnt understand that feeling till i read this since i hates running. it fits exactly to what i think when i run, the first part i mean. i guess i always gave up before the second part, that's why i had alwa...

little thoughts, big things

you know, perception is a very intriguing thing? went for a reunion dinner gathering with the tkd seniors and ppl. had steamboat again, and went to watch a movie. also we lao yu sheng today! probably one of the most unhappening yu sheng i tossed. it's been a long while since i last watched a movie. we watched little big soldier. it's actually pretty good. funny yet underlies deep meanings. shows how little actions leave deep impact on people. and do result in big changes. however, not everything ends with a happy ending. i guess movies too. at the end of the day, it's little gestures that matters and adds up to a big thing. saw a quote just now that fits this, "It's funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back everything is different."

thank YOU

what makes a good ogl? there are many many instances where i thought i could have done this better, should have done that better. and i always ended camps feeling a whole shitload bunch of regrets. orientation 2009 was the biggest of them all. i've forgotten all of that until last friday, when we went back to help out at orientation 2010. until this one guy came up to me at the end and told me this one sentence. "It was you who inspired me." i never thought i did. and the whole memory floodgate opened. i remembered so vividly that it was at sss where he sat down in the middle of it and i asked him to stand and continue. but he told me he was tired so i was really helpless, frankly i really couldnt think of any reason to convince him or myself but i just know he had to. let me tell you something more about this guy, he was older than me by around 2 years old. so at that time he was 20. and i still remembered clearly that he said he was too old for this, too t...
