Late night thoughts

Sometimes as we rush to move forward, day by day passed and we forget to stop and take a look, to reflect and to feel. All in the name of Busy. I would say that this Friday's sickness came just at the right time as I forced myself to take a much needed break. A full 10 hours of sleep in a while now, having some me time albeit just to lay around in bed the whole day to watch shows. Catching up on conversations with friends I didn't realized I miss so dearly and reminiscing about good old times. It has been merely 5 months odd. Yet, when we talked about school, it feels like another lifetime away. Sometimes I hope that just for even one day, we can go back in time, walk in the corridors and stop to say hi to familiar faces. It's these little things I miss about school. Mostly the once familiar environment and the freedom.  That's not to say that work is a dreadful task. It's just that Work is like an all consuming entity that creeps up in your mind, occupy your life i...

Start of something new

maybe in some way i am lucky, i didn't have to go through the long period of job hunting, of worrying and facing so much uncertainty of my future. Instead, i got a long holiday which i could enjoy thoroughly with a deadline ahead. Onwards to the next phase of life tmr, still can't fully grasp that idea of me being a working adult. As always, i hope it will be a great experience, onwards to more exciting times in life. Cheers!

Final Graduation Trip

I'm finally back to Singapore for good, no more flights for a while now. Hong Kong was never a city that i love to visit again even though i had only went there for a day trip 5 years ago. Still not loving it after 7 days there but it was definitely not a bad trip. Hong Kong is like Singapore, crowded, fast paced and the people are thus definitely not a friendly bunch. Despite the lousy weather, it was raining everyday when we were there, I really enjoyed spending time with the core group, hanging out 24/7 with them for 7 days. From the mad rush to finish Ocean Park right from the very first day, the relentless food hunt and hello kitty hunt daily, the dim sum snatching and squeezy yum cha experience with the locals on Day 3, the mandatory photo taking with every MTR stations we were at, the graduation shots at Macau's Ruins of St Pauls, then running through Macau Venetian Casino to catch our ferry, the random games of Heads Up charades by the Hong Kong night scene at Sta...

i'm back! for the time being...

Just submitted my insurance claim and categorized my photos from the Europe trip. 2640 photos in 38 days, that was actually below what I expected, probably because quite a number of the photos were in the iPhone that was stolen in Berlin. Besides that particular incident, I would say that it was a really really great trip. Definitely a worthy decision made! Now i can proudly say i've backpacked in Europe! But that only makes me want to see the world even more, after meeting so many people from so many interesting places. Next stop may be Morroco, Greece, Brazil or a trip in South America maybe? We were two girls backpacking our way through 10 cities with minimal planning, Paris-London-Amsterdam-Berlin-Prague-Firenze(Florence)-Rome-Sevilla-Granada-Barcelona, so i really need to thank my lucky star and my travel buddy Roxanne for all the good weather, good events/festivals luck, good timings and all the good people we met and the friends we have made on this trip. Now i'm home wi...

#yolo

As I'm laying on my bed now, I try my best to not think about my trip tomorrow for fear that I may start panicking. Now that I think about it, I must have been crazy to book an air ticket to Europe two weeks before the flight. 5 weeks in Europe and less than 2 weeks of planning! What was I thinking? And we are only two girls. I didnt even thought about going to Europe after I came back from exchange since I was immensely broke. Well, but I have to say somewhere along the way someone planted that thought in my head. Even though I kept throwing it away and telling myself it's impossible, signs keep popping out and gave me the hope again. And indeed, somehow things that are bad started clicking together and turned for the better. It is like the universe wanted me to go. As always it's the pre trip jittery and I as usual is not prepared at all even under prepared this time. I always start off a trip with uncertainty and come back full of memories. Wish me luck this time round a...

a muddled head and droopy eyes

This is probably one of the last few mugging sessions of my life. Strangely enough, i remember there was this reading period that i actually like mugging. Everyday was like a safe routine ritual, i go to school, i complete what i am supposed to do that day, i go home and can watch shows for the whole night. But now, i can't find back that feeling anymore. Perhaps it's the lack of urgency during exchange life or perhaps it's the final semester syndrome, i seem to lack the stamina to study efficiently now. And just yesterday, I was having trouble sleeping. My body clock is so screwed, by the way. Did you ever realise that people get a lot crazier when they are mugging day in and out? Perhaps due to constant cramming of content and stress, weird thoughts and crazy ideas tend to form in our heads. And so... I shall try not to entertain these thoughts in my mind.
