just a bad ending that ruins it.

our first backpacking taiwan trip was really great except for the last bit. it was like shooting a drama, it was that dramatic. imagine three people running down the walkway led by a airport attendant, lugging several huge bags, while passerby all looked on. you will realise that this kinda thing not only happens in a movie but also in real life when you are the one running all the way to the boarding gate. this is what happens when you are stupid enough to remember your flight timing wrongly. we were lucky enough we could still board the plane. but not nearly lucky enough that one of our tickets were sold. so that left one person remaining, the feeling was like life and death. in this kind of situation combined with the pressing time as a factor. i guess it's not that difficult that we would make the wrong choice. in a lot of times we just have to make the most out of the situation. yet sometimes we make the wrong decision. so what's left is just guilt and re...

the last night

i cant believe it's the last night in taiwan tonight. this trip has been amazing and dream-like and very very very fun. and i cant believe 7 days ago we were still in singapore. and that around 2 months ago the idea of going to taiwan was just merely a thought. now this wish has been fulfilled and almost completed. i'm feeling a little sad, a little nostalgic already. taiwan is a place which makes people want to stay. especially hualien my favourite minsu and place! though the duration we stayed there is the least and we had only left there for a day. i'm already missing the place and the people very much, like mum, zhuang ding and bao di a lot ! <3 -kim taipei, 20/07/2010

Day One in TAIWAN!

i'm gna finish this in two minutes so i can go bathe and sleep. day one in taiwan has been awesome! albeit we were very behind schedule initially and a little lost but all are fun! the food are DELICOUS! that's what we had been doing since we arrived, alternating between shopping and eating! doggies on the street, friendly taiwanese, cute strangers & ongoing mission! looking forward to day 2!

due in three hours

i'm not ready, i think. there's so many things undone. and i'm not sure what i've packed and not pack. travelling by ourselves in a foreign country, sounds so crazy and scary, and fun. i'm eggcited and worried. *cross fingers* i hope things goes well.

you taught me lots, really you did.

i realised i nv did had the time to write my post on the last day of work at questex coz it was way too chaotic, that week. i felt so happy when everybody was so happy with my little gift. and gave me a hug before they left. so here's one so i will remember this feeling even when i grow up and look back. this 3rd proper job in my life i got it by accident, or it basically just dropped down on my lap. i remembered i was feeling down because of the upset between me and my agent. when i looked back i was so so so great, i stood for myself and didnt accept the job reluctantly. perhaps everything really did happen for a reason. so i was on my way to one of the three interviews after looking for a job quite some time. i got a call from questex. it was a phone interview. and just like that i got confirmed. the pay was higher than i expected, the job scope harder but better. it was like a gift. starting work there was kinda tough, being a whole new environment, new people. a...

oops, i think my eyebags just got larger.

let's see, i'm flying off to taiwan in less than 36 hours. days have been busy busy busy. i'm feeling very vexed coz there's lots of things whirling in my mind. i'm not ready for the trip, yet eggcited and scared. things i need to do before i fly: -email minsu owner, settle transport and itinary -leave comment at hotspring resort page, ask transport too -confirm railway stations with minsu owner -check timing book tickets for hsr & train -accept exemption ! -apply for hall (maybe?) -pack luggage!! -CHANGE CURRENCY! -buy contact lens -read all my accumulated mails -do up me & my sis's shopping list -research on food i want to eat -do a clean handover of my job -pack my desk at work -do up farewell gifts by TONIGHT!!! or maybe some miraculous breaks in between tomorrow. how now brown cow?

1,2,3, go for iACTS camp!

somehow that line got stuck in my mind after i read it from the camp's blog. it's difficult not to carry any expectations with you when you go for camp especially when you had went to quite a few before. i dont know about mil, but i entered the camp feeling like i dont feel like gng. and feeling kinda disappointed, kinda unfamiliar, kinda something-missing, kinda sian. but i guess till the last night, then i realised the camp aint that bad. and 4d3n actually passed really fast. the last night i guess everyone was feeling kinda reluctant to sleep. so we stayed up playing games like heartattack and caiquan though everybody was obviously tired. then out of nowhere we started singing songs like accapella from 4+am all the way till 6am. i think these small moments with og people, all the lame games are the most fun and memorable out of the camp. this is one camp that is kinda thought provoking. like how mil & i looks very close to the others though we have only been t...
