so it's the last day of 2008. and i was looking through my past entries, trying to recall what i've done this year. so many things have happened this year that some of them seem so far away. this year is a very different year, moving to an entirely new environment. lots of changes, lots of decisions. schools, combinations, camps and oversea trips. this choice, that choice, to go or not to go. dilemma everywhere. and this is the year, i joined in more. line camp, cdayl, YOG, rono hse committee, one star kayaking, taekwondo, macau trip, leaders camp, tkd camp, standard chartered marathon. volunteering this and that, here and there. i gained some, i lost some. and this is the year, i discover more. OG6, PAE08S12, FAMILY THREE, macau trip, tribe eight. new friends, old friends, friends who got closer, friends who got further. as i said i gained some, & i lost some. and some usual doesnt change. gatherings, celebrations and traditions. charm'd, 4e3 & 6.3. and somewhere i...
happy birthday helena! so we went out to celebrate today. the guys were being exceptionally nice today. chongwai treated us to movie, ben treated us to lunch at aston's, des treated us to ben & jerry. the movie, angus, thongs and perfect snogging was okay. typical chick flick i guess. and all i could say is the male lead is super cute and handsome. the whole theater was filled with our oohs & ahhs everytime he came out. LOL which was fun in a way. slapjack & bridge while waiting. lunch at aston's was really delicious. my steak and side were all yummy. ben & jerry was sweeeeet. we claimed we were really full but we still finished it all. pretty enjoyable day i shall say. i should have left it at there.
it's ironic how you can be so close to one person, and the next moment you pretend like you dont know each other. do you believe in platonic friendship?
so christmas is over. well, technically it's not cause christmas have 12 days but you get what i meant. 21-24th was spent at 4e3 chalet. it was good and bad. we played pictionary which was so intense and way too loud and hilarious, night cycling to changi with the cursing when it's uphill and cheering when it's downhill, our class signature game: captain ball, mahjoong on khairiyah's sleeping bag, lots of card games like snapjack, pig game and bridge, many many many games of bridge, not forgetting the barbeque that caused the tiles to explode and crack, and also the intensity of everyone gathering to watch that one scene on xiao niang ren, and baolong and his horny talk. hilarious! that's about it, the chalet pretty much sums up to one thing: bridge club xD they tried teaching the game to everyone who dont know the game. and after the checking out, we even went to desmond's hse to continue playing. insanity. oh yah, and we totally appreciate our class guys. next...
well well, F3 picnic at the botanics today! we waited and waited, we ate until we are bloated, we played captain frisbee till we are tired, we painstakingly tried to take a proper jump shot with everyone in it, we celebrated december babies' birthday, we fed fishes, birds and tortoises, we chit-chatted all the way, & i took a photo with a super cute toddler. it all pretty much sums up to a fantabulous day! enjoyed the company today and always. loads of fun and laughter and hyper activeness when i'm with them. i ❤ family three! :D pics up when i received them. oh ya, and mildred is awarded the most patient person in f3. & family three is officially filled with late queens and kings. & they finished up my sandwiches. woohoo`~ well, as i always say it's the company that matters. :]
after talking to a number of enthusiastic people, i'm suddenly very excited about this friday's F3 picnic and next week 4e3 chalet. i like enthusiastic people, they make me excited too. :DD when i'm excited, i will be more fun. i hope it doesnt rain on friday. *fingers crossed* oh, and i watched twilight today. kind of a disappointment. the book is much much better. i hope it will be better when they change the director. i dislike how this director portray twilight. & my sis treated me to newyork newyork today. baked cheesy mussels & tangentella(?) alfredo with fried fish. Mmm. NICE! rain rain go away, come again another day.
woohoo~ standard chartered marathon 2008! i reached home at only 5pm. & slept straight from 5pm to 2am, then from 3am to 1pm again. and i still said i dont like to sleep. how unconvincing. LOL standard chartered was pretty... well, i cant say fun but indeed a very eye opening experience. i'm glad i went. got to know a few new ppl coz some in my sector are very clique-y. so i didnt bother to get to know them. they didnt seem very friendly either. :/ saw the first runner around 30 mins after the run started. and then the runners all started coming. omg, were they endless. when i tiptoed, all i could see is a sea of bobbing heads. :D was pretty lost at first coz i didnt know wat to do. then i started to cheer for them. and i felt really happy when the first person responded to me. some smiled and said thankyou. most of the runners are really nice ppl which really encouraged me. :D it was overall, still a great experience. . . . . .. . . . .. . . .. . . . . . ... . . . . . . . . se...
woot! back from tkd camp. it wasnt as tough as i thought it will be except maybe for the horror movie every night which scared me half to death. LOL believe it or not, this is my first time to watch finish a whole horror movie since i will never ever go to the cinema to scare myself. if there wasnt so many ppl beside me, i wouldnt have watched it. it's all gordon's bright idea to rent all 3 to be horror movies. in the end he's the one who screamed first. HAHA the last night movie is the scariest. and i couldnt wait for the movie to end, i was like not covering my eyes completely for half the movie. so anyway, the much anticipated not morning run wasnt that tough and definitely not 4km coz our stamina just sucks. i am very ashamed of my own stamina. sadded ): but anyway thanks gordon for encouraging me to keep running if not i would have jus stopped. running is all abt determination to me. the 3rd morning some of the guys ran 18k to changi, and the girls have it easy. shimu...
