treasure these random moments

this is today, after the last quiz (AA306) ever in my uni life. we took the car out and went for lunch, just like in year 1. times with them are almost always good, i like how everybody become more relaxed and fun because it's the last semester. Like when we are in year 1 where actions are before "but..." and we end up having funny and spontaneous moments. Ain't life supposed to be like that?

the last of the yearly affair

this pretty much sums up this post. However, this year Jurong Bird Park did not participate so we have to change our location to the Dempsey's branch. This year, most of us didnt have class but that only means that it's harder for us to meet up and go together. But everyone did make the effort to come down considering it's probably the last one for us. Well, Free Cone Day 2013 was enjoyable as always, what's not happy with free ice cream. It did rained heavily for a moment which almost dampen our spirit. Almost is the keyword here. This year's flavours are great so i ate 6 cones! While, Becky managed to successfully challenge 10 cones. We ended up camping on the back of Ersy's car, having a slight resemblance of a car boot flea sale. At the end of the day, free cone day 2013 is not just the ice cream but the people too. I'm glad that we started that this in our first year. To Friendships and Ice Creams :D

On hindsight

Up till today, i guess the best decision i made this year is to return to salsa en sync and perform for JDC'13. I guess it wasn't that tough a decision make in the first place. My heart always wanted a last chance to perform a salsa piece on stage to end my final year nicely and i guess all i needed was a push. I am grateful to the people who welcomed me back so willingly and readily. It was a pleasure to be able to have the opportunity to know these bunch of enthusiastic juniors and to dance with them. Trust me when i say i will miss dancing and progressing with them next year. Maybe even a tad envious. It was such a great last performing experience to be able to dance on the stage of Kallang Theatres especially with such a responsive and supporting crowd.  I woke up today still feeling the excitement from yesterday's performance. It was in fact one of the best crowd for the JDC ever, they cheered, they oohed and aahed at all the correct places and they didn't leave ...

genuine happiness

skipped tax lesson to go to free cone day this year again with the same company. have to attend saturday class instead, but i would say it was worth it. really, nothing cheers us up like free ice cream! well, at least for the first cone. 4 cones were my limit.

we grew up

as we grow older and are gradually being strapped down by school or work, i guess part of our spontaneity are gone with it too. birthdays are starting to become the excuse for gatherings. an occasion where we tell ourselves to try to make it down since it's a special day. i guess some changes are unavoidable. at least i think we made another crazy night. 9 people in a Suzuki Swift? Challenge Accepted. all we did when we arrived was to sit down and talk till late night, nobody actually wanted supper. i guess everybody just didn't wanted the night to end. it was then i realised everybody has grown up. shift of topics, less of childish banters, more responsibilities and smarter i would say, street smart. maybe because we have seen more of how the society works. good and bad, but i definitely missed meeting this family of mine since it has been a busy year so far. more times like this please!

back to Fridays

first practice after a long long hiatus. didn't intentionally skipped dance practices since the start of the sem, it was just that I was sick for so long. returning to dance was part nervous, part familiar yet mostly different. just one holiday and things have changed so much. new crowd, new agenda, new dance and new choreo. it's strange yet with a tinge of familiarity.

first dance of the year

this picture looks like the one that got me started with the whole picturing life thing, #justsaying. anyway, today was kind of interesting. helped out as the hair stylist for the student team for the new year's party. the girls i did their hair for told me that it was their first performance. kinda reminded me of mine. maybe that's just the push i needed for the performance this year. on another note, maybe it's not such a good idea to dance social when you are sick. two consecutive songs and i could barely breathe. but it was fun, it's been months since i last danced. the last was last year, before exams. i should really start recovering already.

for what we have missed

thanksgiving feast fit to feed an army, a lot of food is an understatement. an awkward thanksgiving speech by the organizers and a food cheer marked the start.  mid autumn festival hour, our best attempt of a picture with the sparklers and also a visit from the police. halloween hour, decked out in f3 colour and jj shirt, even the police thought that we were still kids.  冬至就要吃汤圆, star shaped tangyuan for each one of us lovingly made by joey because she said it represents patrick and also each one of us is a shining star :] Christmas hour, our last minute gift exchange the 7-eleven style, funny but very festive nonetheless. jell-o shots, just because. actually i forgot why, maybe it was for christmas. all changed to green and red for christmas hour! also, ice cream log cake to celebrate for our birthday babies. lastly, we counted down, toasted and bilibanja-ed to the new year! f3 ♥ 7 occasions in a short span of the last five hours of 2011, to make up for all the occa...

nothing out of the ordinary

good food  good entertainment good company great night!

christmas day

orchard is definitely not the place to be on christmas day. other than that, christmas this year was pretty good after we escaped from the crowded places. it was a good night with good food, good conversation, good company and even some christmas carols to add to the mood. oh and pretty lightings, plus a gift at the end, definitely very festive. A merry christmas i would say, all totally unplanned.

nights out

so it's another one of those supper night out, this time with only cream of the crops coz pui couldnt make it the last minute. went to a new place tonight, prata again with murtabak and teh. food was quite good. but the night walk around the shop houses and the estate was great, while we traded stupid stories we did when we were kids. then we climbed over the fence and went into the abandoned tanjong pagar railway station. cant believe my first time there is actually at this hour. fun night but we got a summon ticket at the end :/

if you let yourself be unguarded

proclaimed drinking session turned out to be one filled with competitive games of five stones and pick up sticks. and morphed into a totally high level of trust htht. but the magic was broken once we stepped out of the room. and so all we thought was why did we just said that. feeling like we crossed some imaginary boundaries yesterday night.

temporal state of euphoria

in the midst of hectic school week with quizzes and project meetings, i went to catch a movie with my tutorial mates, i.e cream of the crops which they like to call themselves. suave male lead, beautiful female lead, exciting fight scenes coupled with a super adorable and handsome kid is the winning formula to make an awesome movie, at least to me. haven't enjoyed myself so much and laughed so hard in theaters since the start of this semester. so say cheers to spontaneity and a great monday night!

one of those epic school day

no photo today. cause it was raining, and the whole morning was too busy. so it's like this, it was a fine morning which i thought i had ample free time to run my errands. so it turned out my friend injured herself but didnt go to the hospital. and then i was looking for a car and a driver who is in school and has no lesson on a tuesday. while rushing around finishing my errands. then came the epic task of bringing her down to the car with 3 levels of stairs. every step was painful to her. it was painful to watch yet funny in a way. we shld totally have video-ed it down man, one epic sch day to remember.

over desserts

impromptu craving satisfied. went to have dessert with tutorial mates after the submission of two projects. we were talking and then we realised that one year had passed. when we looked back, we did do quite a lot of stupid and crazy stuff last year. heh :D

ate with eytan

we did that at the request of our very friendly stranger photographer. dinner was good with them, tried a new korean place and food. then it was chilling out at Tulles' Cafe. almost lost my pencil case and water bottle, thank goodness for small miracles in life.

same same but different

my dear salsa girls! cant believe one year has passed, lucky that i've met you two. if not i doubt i would had stayed so long. one more shot in 2012!

defensive

late night supper again with tutorial mates, despite having lots of work to do and camp the next day. just because we were randomly talking in a mass conversation on msn. spontaneous tonight, my marketing group. but the night ended with me feeling defensive and sour for not having my final say.

demoralised tutor

apple pie made by my tutee's mum. almost killed myself with minimal sleep and 4 hours of tuition. i really hope my student does well considering that i have put in so much effort to teach him. he is draining up all my free time and packing up my schedule. so please don't score 2/60 during PSLE section C alright?
